The Town of Glen Echo has been alerted by WMATA that they plan to demolish the Wilson Trestle Bridge on the west edge of Town near Radcliffe and Wellesley Circle. This would begin in the winter of 2022 and take 3-6 months. The resulting impacts may affect residents on Radcliffe, upper Cornell and Wellesley Circle near Radcliffe.
The Town is working with WMATA to develop appropriate guidelines for site access, staging, truck traffic, noise, work hours, restoration and other impacts on Town residents. This public meeting is for all residents along with the Council to meet via Zoom with WMATA representatives to go over the project. The Zoom link will be sent via Constant Contact to residents.
